An Upscale Nail Salon in Trendy Tel Aviv

photo 2I would like to share with you a very memorable manicure experience that I endured in Tel Aviv at a very chic nail salon named French. French is located on 25 Aleph Rechov Melchet, right next to the one of Tel Aviv’s notorious fashion high end streets, Rechov Shenkin.

French reminded me of the nail salons I used to go to when I lived in London. Once I walked in, I knew that I was in the right place. I can’t explain it, but I just knew. It had the air of quality. The floors were spotless. The decor was simple. Cream walls, cream floors. There was French music softly playing the background. A spa type smell was floating in the air. I felt so relaxed and already sensed the experience would be one of a kind. The clientele looked very classy and stylish.

The manicurist who took care of me was a striking woman with a great hair cut and dressed in style. From the moment the manicure started, I knew I was in good hands. Everything she did was done with precision and care. My nails were cut to the size I wanted which was short. They were filed in a square shape. My hands were dipped in hot water to soften my cuticles. Cuticles were brushed with cuticle oil after my hands were dried. Next came the step when the cuticles were cut, and my nails were cleaned. I have to confess something, usually at this point, my mind wanders. Not this time. I was fascinated with the treatment so I paid great attention. The manicurist was working like an artist.

Next, my hands were immersed in a bowl of warm dead sea salt with a wonderful fragrance. Hands, fingers and wrists were all massaged. She took the time to do it well. No rush. It was wonderful. My nails were cleaned again and another cream massage followed. I was in bliss. I asked what the popular colors are. Lisa, the nail owner, who not only speaks Hebrew and English but also Mandarin Chinese, said that French’s customers usually ask for pale pinks. Spring colors are reds and pinks. Winter colors are darker.

I asked for a French Manicure. In my next blog article, I will show you the steps and pictures of how she did it.It is almost five days since the treatment, and the nail color still hasn’t chipped! Not one bit! Many pedicure and manicure packages are offered. A new addition is a massage treatment.
